CRS 226 <-> Freenas LInkAgregation

Mon Mar 02, 2015 3:21 pm

Hi,

What is best setup scenario for setup static trunk between freenas 9.3 and CRS 226

If I set loadbalance on freenas - it is working only if I only one interface is enabled, when I enable second interface on trunk, traffic is stopped.

I tryed also FEC interface on freenas, but same results.

info form: http://doc.freenas.org/9.3/freenas_netw ... gregations

On switch i configure trunk on switch menu.

Hello!
Best option for most cases of "device to switch" is round-robin.
It is static and works well for Linux/Unix.

I will try round-robin, bur CRS dont support this, or I misunderstand something.

Round-robin can work even on non-smart switches (used it on cheap 8-port switch some years ago and it worked good).

I use Adaptive Load Balancing on my Synology NAS to CRS226. It is important to have nothing configured for a trunk (for these ports) on your 226. LACP didnt work, but adaptive load balancing from the new synology beta seems good so far.
