You can create a profile specifying uptime-limit=74h and validity=7d.>>>this means the user has just 74h uptime which must be used up in 7d. If after 7d they have only used 10h, the remaining 64h is lost.
If you extend the validity to say 30d >>>this means that the user can spread their 74h uptime over 30d.
If you want the user to enjoy 74h uptime even if it takes 36500d, just specify so!
Of course this is for usermanager 4.x, but the same credit (instead of profile) principle applies to 3.x.

Hello mikrotikers

Where can I create the profile that eneimi says "specifying uptime-limit=74h and validity=7d" is that in one of the sections of the user manager like credits, sessions, users?? or is there in any other field? Also, can I create a validity for different credits? like 10h with a validity of 7 days, and 20 hours with a validity of 1 month?

Thanks for your responses

profiles and validity field only in the userman-test (beta) version. for beta version, can be found in "User Manager v4.0 test package" sticky thread.
for the older version(default 4.2 still using the old version), you can set active period(start at first time user logged on) in the credits(Time field), and set uptime limit when creating users.

Guys,

I have similar problem of time exhaustion..

I created accounts user ID for 1 hour time, but when a customer uses about 10min or so, left some time in his ticket, when he come back to login second time, he will get a message that his credit limit reached (time exhausted) from the ticket. While some tickets for 1 hour will have a time for 1 day, 23 hours plus.

I am using routerOS 4.3 level 4 license.

Please help us sort it out.

Guys,

My problem is solved on account expiration last night when i upgraded my system from v4.3 to v4.11 and set the uptime rate to appropriate uptime limit for each account group created (1h, 2h, 3h,etc). Search for (User Manager/Limiting) you will have your problem solve.

Thanks

:D :)

Good people of Mikrotik,
Please, I need all the help I can get. I have successfully configured user manager, its accessible via with my modem IP address ( I hope this is right), the issues are as follows:
1, Is there any other thing to do for the hotspot users to gain access via the user manager, and not the hotspot as was preciously the case.

2. I am yet to figure out how to assign a user a particular range of time (E.g say the user only needs access for a specific time; 6am - 6pm) within 1 month

3. Should the userman IP=my public gateway? (192.168.9.1)? or my ISP modem IP address (12.12.3.5)?

Please advice
Thanks
