How to tell UM that users paid?

Thu Mar 01, 2012 10:16 pm

Hello,

how can I tell the UM, that activ users paid cash for the next month, so that the validity is set for one month more?

I know how to change the validity, but I have a lot of users, they pay cash and I´m looking now for a easy way to tell this in UM. It is not possible to change every month the validity for every user manually.
For "paid users" --> validity one month more, for "non paid users" --> close the connection at the first days of the new month.

(UM runs at a RB 800 with edit:ROS 5.14)

Thank you for helpful tips!

Saludos

Uli

Hi

I hope this is not considered impolite.

Sorry I cannot help you with this, but I have a question.

I use UM for managing a hotspot and not too sure how the "valdility" works.

How would I go about setting my usermanager up so that on the last day of the month at 11:59:59pm the users can no longer login?

Many thanks

Hi,

better you make a new topic, but the problem is related.

So I know, this did not work so, like you wrote, but I´m not sure. I also can only tell the UM a validity in days and hours... and the start (now or at first login). I didn´t know a possibility to tell a independently endtime.
Therefore I want do this with the payment, but it seems that nobody knows how to do. Also I did not find anything about this in wiki. What a shame! :(

Will wait for more answers or a discussion.

Saludos

I too would like to know how to apply cash payments to customers. At the moment our plans are "free" ; we just leave brief info regarding last payment in the comment field of the user and manually go through customers once a month. We also keep track of payments in a spreadsheet. This is not the way to do it obviously!

You can use the comments section of each user to tell that the user have already paid or not.

How I wrote, I like to use it with validity, not only for a comment.

Examble: A user pays for one month. I set the validity for this time. If he pays before the time is over for a further month, I need a simple possibility to tell this fact in UM, so that the validity goes up for a new month.
And it will be fine if I can write a date, not only a time-limit. So I can set the validity at the first day of (every) month and if I can tell UM "this user has paid", the validity goes up for the next month.

The status that have UM now is so, that I have to change the complete validity for every user every month and this is realy not helpful, if there are nearly 80 users.

I'v not used UM, but Access Manager does support paper vouchers. You can generate prepaid vouchers and sell. Users can recharge their account using that voucher. Check this: accessmanager.in
