RB3011 Randomly dropping all ports and then re-connecting

Tue Feb 21, 2017 10:10 pm

Hi

I have a new RB 3011, firmware if 6.38.1 (i updated after purchase).

It is randomly and frequently taking all the connected ports down and then bringing them up again. It will sometimes go a few hours without a drop, but it mostly lasts less than an hour and sometimes only 1 or 2 minutes.

Connection is PPPoE form ISP, on a fibre connection. The router is connected directly to an ONT. MTU settigns are as default. I am not sure how these are determined by the router.

Try rolling back to the latest bugfix RouterOS code. They are much more stable in general.

Download the ARM bugfix version - 6.37.4 is the latest but we run most of our client networks on 6.36.4 as it is very stable.
