Accessing MikroTik PowerBOX through IP address assigned by a NetGear Router

Thu Feb 23, 2017 6:57 pm

Hello,

I just recently purchased a new MikroTik PowerBOX. What I wanted to do was to be able to access the connected devices that were attached to the PowerBOX but I cannot get passed accessing my device through another NetGear router that I have it connected to. I am able to connect to the back of the Mikrotik and access the devices but when I try to access the mikrotik from the outside of my office, It is nowhere to be found. I am trying to connect to it through port forwarding.(I do not know if this is the best method for this). Eventually I will like to set it up so that I can access the devices on the MikroTik from anywhere in the world.
Thank you for your help.

Attached is a picture to visualize what I am trying to do.

you will have to setup port forwarding from internet side to the netgear and pass it through to the mikrotik. Or log onto the Netgear and DMZ the mikrotik. you will have to allow winbox access on the mikrotik firewall
