how to connect 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.1.1 (file sharing)

dear all,

just tried routeros 2.9.27, how to set the router so this block of ip address 192.168.0.x and 192.168.1.x can connect eachother such as file sharing and so on?

Hi chrone,

use a bridge-interface or bigger network subnet /16 (255.255.0.0.)

If you are doing, NetBios File sharing, usually, you will need to define a WINS server. Thats the simplest way. Else a Domain Controller etc. . . . But it will work across networks just have to have the windows components working. If you don't have a WINS or DNS server, then you can just use your IP address's directly. DON"T BRIDGE IT!
