Hey All,

One of our sites in our MPLS core has 2 BGP VPLS circuits jumping in and out of a running state, The other end of the tunnel doesnt show this and enabling debug MPLS logging shows nothing coming up in the log. It only flicks in and out for a second and does it a few times and hour. From what I can tell its no affecting service.

Pinging the remote node has no packet loss at all, This router has 18 BGP VPLS circuits running on the same VPLS ID and none of the others drop out and there are nodes further away in the network that stay up fine.


Anyone seen anything like this before? I cant see anything to say its affecting service but its slightly concerning and I'm being asked about it and dont have an answer yet

Perhaps you should packet dump the BGP sessions?
