OSPF on 4.16 Stable?? (RB450G and RB1100)

Thu Dec 30, 2010 3:22 pm

Hello all,

Just wondering if anyone else is running OSPF on 4.16 with RB450G and RB1100 boards without any troubles.

I've hit so many firmware bumps with OSPF breaking that I've frozen all of our upgrades for months in hopes that things smooth out.

Has anyone else had experience with this that can say it seems to be stable? I'm thinking of doing the upgrade but have no faith in the firmware being stable any more. Right now it works for us but the versions are a total mess and I don't dare touch it until I know things are semi-stable and then I will bring everything to the same level.

Thanks!

We are seeing problems with the RB1100 and 4.16. It's in the 4.16 released thread. Sent a supout to Mikrotik and then sent them a layout of our network but haven't heard anything back yet.

Thanks! I'll be avoiding that one for sure :)

The RB-1100s are finicky as hell. Not to mention there's some issue with the chipsets for ports 1-10.

Right now our RB-1100s are useless except for ports 11-13, and I'm afraid to upgrade them to anything until it gets sorted out.

Yes I did when we first noticed the problem.

-I don't have the ticket numbers any more.
-A few weeks after my ticket there was a new ROS version that was supposed to fix the problem
-It didn't, and was confirmed by a few on the forums
-I gave up upgrading. It is stable the way I have it, and I can't afford to play with it any more.

(Hence why I'm asking a silly question as this thread, it's stupid that I need to ask it, but I can't afford any more mistakes)

What OS version are you using on the RB1100 that is stable for OSPF?
