Bonding 2 ethernet ports in a bridged enviroment

Fri Feb 25, 2011 7:08 am

How is this done?
When I try it says that they belong to the bridge.
I'm trying to create more bandwidth from a RB433 AP to a RB433 BH Brg
Using v5.0rc10 on both sides.
Thank you,
Rod

add ethernets as slaves in bonding config and then add bonding interface as bridge port.

I can follow that - except if I remove them from the bridge on the AP side won't I loose contact with that board?

Backhaul RB433 -> eth -> eth -> RB433 AP

Thank you,
Rod

BTW - these are on top of a 200 foot tower - would rather not climb if I don't have too - :-))

Do I create a identical config on either side?
It looks like this

Just noticed I missed the part that says "Balance-rr is the only mode that will send packets across multiple interfaces that belong to the same TCP/IP connection".
Now it works good.

Any other recommendations?
