pppoe and public IP

Tue Oct 18, 2011 6:57 pm

Hi

I have got an WISP, 1 of my clients needs an public IP (x.x.x.x)
I have got an Mikrotik PCC load balancer (192.168.3.240) which has got the adsl line connected to with the Public IP (x.x.x.x)
My AP ipaddress it (192.168.3.78) Client connected on the ap is (10.5.60.x)

How can I assign my Public IP (x.x.x.x) to my internal ip (10.5.60.x)?

Please help

Hi,
What's your configuration on your ADSL modem? Is the Public IP set on the Modem Interface or on the Mikrotik RB?
If set on the Mikrotik interface and you have just one Public address and got more than one users, you have to use some NAT rule or if you have a range of public IP routed from your ISP, you should route it to your certain client or assign to it.
Just tell more about your configurations.

The public Ip is set on the modem interface. Which is behind the PCC Load Balancer. Must I then port forward through to the load balancer and then the ap and then the client?

So, the the Modem should nat this IP to the client but it must know routing to the client's private IP address.
Can you draw your network diagram?
