Slow upstream with RB1100AHx2

Wed Aug 22, 2012 9:43 pm

Hi,

This thing makes us crazy.
We have a RB1100AHx2, RouterOS 5.20, with 3 gigabit connections to various internet transport providers.
We do BGP, have our own AS.
When I do a speed test, the downstream is anywhere between 200-500Mbps...But the upstream is terrible, 10-30Mbps, sometimes max 60 Mbps.

Before we used a single core RB1100Ah, and did not have this problem.
Also tested with a Cisco 7301, we get good upstream speeds.

Any idea why this might be happening?
We looked through everything cant see what the problem might be...
Any help would be appreciated.

Perhaps BGP is using a single ustream provider for your outbound traffic in that interfaces saturated? Check the route table and see where the traffics going.

I don't know if Half-Duplex GigE is supported by Mikrotik (or by the vendor of the Transits router) but that looks like a duplex mismatch. I may be completely wrong here but that was my first thought.

Do you have 3 GigE Interfaces with a CIR of 1 Gig on each Interface or is the CIR lower?
