Dynamic routing learning

Thu Oct 31, 2013 4:39 pm

Hello everybody!I am now learning about the dynamic routing.I have got some Mikrotik Routerboards for learning.

http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/File:Image6006.gif

This multi area example working, reachable the 2 areas, reachable the routers,so working everything very well.

In this example anyway my R1 is an 751U-2HnD,and this router has an Internet connection from my friend:

ISP------RB2011-------RB 411U--------1km wireless connection------RB411GL------RB751U-2HnD

I just would like to know if i want to connect to the Internet for example from the Area1 or 2,How should i configurate R3 and R4 routers?

I want to get a little basic knowledge for dynamic routing, thank you very much for every answers

Either you or your friend needs to redistribute default routes from a router connected to a some form of gateway.

Can the RB 411U and the RB411G see each other via diagnostic utils ? If you don't want dynamic routing , then you would have to build static routes on the routers to each others networks and gateways . If you want OSPF you would most probably want to run multiple areas (but it's not 100% required) and run the link between the 411U and 411G in the backbone area.

Have a look at the wiki

At the moment the RB 411U and RB411GL between there is 1 km wireless link, and via this link my friend give me Internet connection, and if i good think this would be an OSPF backbone area, and my home's LAN is for example area1,1 more question:is there more backbone networks in one AS system?
