Strange behavior with static routing

Thu Feb 06, 2014 6:02 pm

Hey there!

i got some strange problems using staic routing on 2 MTik Routerboard One R1100 (ROs 4.13) and one CCR1016 (ROs 6.6). They are connectet over WiFi Connection subnet 192.168.254.0/30
RB1100 IP ether3 : 192.168.254.2/30
RB1100 IP ether2(defaultVLAN1) : 10.100.1.1/24

CCR1016 IP ether3 : 192.168.254.1/30
CCR1016 IP ether2 : 192.168.14.1/24

Ther are no dyn. routing protocols activated on both routers.

Problem is:

A ping from a notebook (192.168.14.69) to a destination 10.100.1.74 is running for a while and then times out.
the Log on CCR1016 then shows following entry:
15:44:22 firewall,info kassa forward: in:ether2 out:ether3, src-mac 00:17:42:2e:05:7a, proto ICMP (type 8, code 0), 192.168.14.69->10.100.1.74, NAT (192.168.14.69->192.168.254.1)->10.100.1.74, len 60

I'm not able to disable NATing for that connection. (ip firewall nat add chain=srcnat src-address=192.168.14.0/24 action=accept) is not working.

ping to another destination from same src to 10.100.1.80 shows std. routing log entry:
15:44:28 firewall,info kassa forward: in:ether2 out:ether3, src-mac 00:17:42:2e:05:7a, proto ICMP (type 8, code 0), 192.168.14.69->10.100.1.80, len 60

Why is that connection to first dest. NATed?

greets

Chris

Can you post your NAT settings from both routers, please.
