Installed RouterOS v6.26rc10 and system ist really unresponsive via ssh. This worked well with v6.26rc6.

The ssh improvements will not bring RSA public key authentication, no?

I have a sys-note of 715 bytes. When loggin in this is shown half only. (Every time I tested I had 486 bytes displayed.) After a delay of about 60 seconds the other half is printed and I can access the prompt. '/log print' hangs completly. Possibly this is related to text output.

scp works in both directions.

You are right, same here. So probably my ssh problem is just a symptom.

My hardware is RB 750GL if that matters.

bajodel,
It would be great to get support output file, when abnormal behaviour is present on your router.

I've seen 100% load on 2 RB2011UiAS, both with 6.25.
One of them is doing it right now, spending 75% on ssh. SSH connections cannot be established. The other is doing fine since the last reboot (approx. 2-3 days ago).

I say scrap the whole development done recently and go back to the branch before holidays (6.23) ;)

What about a "login hotspot fixes" in previous rc changelog?

Can be solved the redirection of https when a valid certificate is correctly installed and working, but hotspot not redirect to the https login page automatically. Doing manually all work perfect.
Thanks!

What's new in 6.26rc2 (2015-Jan-16 15:18):

Cureent 6.26 build doesn’t include substantial differences from v6.25, this build was made to test minor changes for TILE version and Hotspot login page.

How about Ticket#2013100966000755? It's stopping us to upgrade to v6 and v5 is starting to get quite old...

We have soon waited for 1 1/2 year for this.

This issue is that a MPLS router at PE silently drops all packets entering the MPLS-cloud which after adding required labels are larger than the mpls-mtu. And as far as I know it should either fragment the packets and forward them or respond with icmp "fragmentation-needed".

That's a pretty big issue in my mind that should be fixed before RC launches. That breaks the protocol rules if I remember correctly.

sstp appears to be broken. I tried 6.26 on my home router and all of my SSTP links died. Debugging logs doesn't provide anything useful.

sergejs, Kind of, I have contacted support regarding another issue:
[Ticket#2014121066000265] MPLS L3 VPN not adding labels
That issue is supposed to be fixed in v6 but I got the response to wait for v7 before I can expect Ticket#2013100966000755 to be resolved.

it is very hard to fix, and maybe requires some re-working of basic mechanics in RouterOS. when you have huge numbers of active interfaces, disabling one, will cause the whole list to be re-generated. this is the issue you see

What about the comment "this build was made to test minor changes for TILE and Hotspot login page" on the v6.26rc2 changelog?

Please is very important to solve the automatic HTTPS redirection in hotspot HTTPS login page when we have a payed valid SSL certificate and all is correctly installed and configured...

Thanks!

RB450G nothing in system health
CCR1036-8g-2s+, huge memory usage when using VPN (about 1GB of ram just for 100Mb/s). which doesnt come back when there is no traffic.

IP firewall GUI becomes very slow and takes long to load after some traffic after a while.

We have plans to release v6.26 on the next week.
Please check the latest release candidate version (6.26rc19),

http://www.mikrotik.com/download/share/ ... latest.zip
http://www.mikrotik.com/download#rc

For those that had confirmed bug reports, please check if the issue is resolved. Thank you for helping.
As I understand - Ticket#2014122166000217 not fixed and will be not fixed in 6.26?
it is very hard to fix, and maybe requires some re-working of basic mechanics in RouterOS. when you have huge numbers of active interfaces, disabling one, will cause the whole list to be re-generated. this is the issue you see
Perhaps make the regeneration of interfaces as a seperate thread refreshing the interfaces and routes 1 by 1 that doesnt hold up ongoing operations? There would obviously be some packet losses but its better than everything being held up in the cause of many interfaces

Not matter what kind of work you have to do to fix this issue.
IT MUST BE FIXED!!!!!

Not possibile to have a professional router that beavie like this one, just because there is a mistake into the software design.

Please fix it asap.

Can Mikrotik please check that "Auto-MTU" is working correctly on an "EoIP interface?

Seems to work fine on "GRE" but changing it to "EoIP" results in MTU differences.

Thanks..

May I suggest that you fix the CHANGELOG and KNOWN ISSUES (nonexistent?) files once and for all. How can you call yourself a professional software developer when you cannot properly track stuff like that? How can you expect users to test your releases when they are flying basically blind?

Couple of hours later. Updated ticket 2015012866000189, ssh load issue still not fixed in rc17 (I updated this RB450G on Friday, as of now it's showing 80% load on ssh).

I can also confirm the same error on a RB2011 (also 6.26 rc17).

You do realize that 6.26rc20 has been out since Friday, right?

In addition to what Nathan said, this is RC which is optional to test. When 6.26 will be released, it will have more info in the changelog. Currently we are still experimenting with fixes in the RC. Do not use this version if you are not comfortable with this. Please only use beta and RC versions in test networks.

Not sure when I applied it, but at the moment 17 was the latest RC. ssh load should be fixed since 15 (according to an older Changelor), so it's still an issue.

Of course, they erased the line stating the ssh fix from the Changelog, so maybe it's not fixed after all and the developers know that.

This is not an issue that pops up immediately so no one can expect to reproduce it with the latest RC available.

OlegM, what RouterOS version do you use?
How did you try it?

For those who have issues with the latest rc and SSH, contact us with attached support output files and some information about the ways how to repeat the issue.

routeros-mipsbe-6.26rc20 - SSTP client Windows 8.1 update 1 works OK.
But I found, what router request for certificate is impossible to sign with Windows 2008 CA (Web server offline cert template).
Event viewer from CA server:
Active Directory Certificate Services denied request 3532 because The request subject name is invalid or too long. 0x80094001 (-2146877439). The request was for DOMAIN\USER. Additional information: Error Constructing or Publishing Certificate

Can you provide info, what included in cert request?
P.S. In earlier versions of RouterOS I was able to use router request in Microsoft CA web-enrollment page (copy/paste) and request certificate.

I must agree with this also. This is a huge problem that severely limits the "professional" usage of ROS at the moment. I have been noticing the same issues with PPPoE as well as some bridge applications. This needs to be addressed more critically. (Next release?)

norpan, there will be new improved routing in v7.x, that will address and open new horizons for routing.
So a quite basic and thing in a router are not going to work in this major release at all?

And can you please tell me which product you would recommend me to use at this point?

Sergej,

My small sample of routers (2x2011UiAS, 1x2011UAS, 1x450G, 1x750G) updated to rc20 are fine ssh-wise until now. Uptime is around 24h at the moment. The good thing is that at least the winbox interface never locked up on version 6.26.

I'll continue to monitor but I'm unable to help otherwise as I'm not sure how to reproduce the problem.

Please understand that a precise and detailed Changelog and possibly a Know Issues file would be a tremendous help for the community and also for the developers.

Thanks,

6.26 version is ready, we will run the final tests and release it shortly,
http://www.mikrotik.com/download

elod, thank you very much for the reports. However SSH fix was applied in 6.26rc21. And issue was present in very specific configurations only.
We are waiting on other users feedback.

norpan, this is not very basic setup indeed, however we are working on new VRF implementation, that will be rewritten in v7. As currently we can apply fixes, but there is no guarantee that fix is going to work (and that it is not going to break anything other).

jdog, please provide us with more valid details of your issues with PPPoE, you may send them to support@mikrotik.com (as Norpam is referrering to VRF setups, that might have nothing to do with PPPoE setups).

I.e. fix for Ticket#2014122166000217 will be only in Not-know-when-release v7? Charming.
Mikrotik do not want to give me back my money for 3 CCR1036 until v7 released?

PPPoE sever + OSPF is "this is not very basic setup indeed"???

ufm,
I have not seen anything about v7 in reply for the ticket 2014122166000217, as my colleague wrote to you, now our developers are working on this issue.

My issue is the same as above.

When running a large set of PPPoE sessions on a MT access concentrator, if one session disconnects, everyone experiences a packet loss or heavy jitter.

I also notice problems with bridges, when I run a PPPoE server on a bridge, and one physical port that belongs to the bridge is connected/disconnected (Even with no PPPoE sessions or traffic on that port)... The entire bridge resets and dumps all of the PPPoE sessions.

Two similar problems, that probably stem from the same issue.
