RouterOS as PVM Xen domU?

Thu Nov 05, 2009 9:31 pm

Greetings!

I would like to run RouterOS as a paravirtualized Xen domU. From what I've read so far it sounds like it is only possible to use RouterOS as a dom0, or a HVM domU.

My hardware does not support Xen HVM. Does RouterOS's kernel only have HVM support?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you will be able to run RouterOS as XEN DomU only on RouterOS Dom0

or you have to run full virtualization if possible so guest OS is not aware it is virtualized (not in direct way)

Also, i would look at some other virtualzisation products like VMWare server, that is free, virtual box and KVM
