I am dead set on seeing through the availability of OpenSER/SIPS/Kamalio on a Metarouter image for the RB1100.
Once it works, I want to be assured that I will be able from RouterOS to be able to ensure that the MetaRouter is healthy and that if it shuts down, that it restarts automatically, with notice.
I would also want to be able to put two RB1100 facing two different WANs, such that if one fails, one can take over the other.
And my SIP phones would re-register dynamically from the other-side-of-the-WAN registrar, to the registrar inside the MetaRouters, for local routing, should the WAN connections fail.
This sort of stuff is done in expensive Comdasys hardware, which has pretty basic LinuxOS routing functions empowered via a featureless HTTP GUI, and no Winbox-like provisioning UI.
I just want to be assured that Mikrotik understands the need for this to work in a commercially supported way.
