multiple ether

Tue Jul 10, 2012 7:56 am

Hi friends
I use a Mikrotik RouterOS as gateway in my ESXi server for control outgoing traffic. I don't use any NAT because IP addresses are public.
I assign 5 NIC to Mikrotik and I want to give each NIC a seperated ip address:
Main Gateway: 192.168.0.1
ether1: 192.168.0.2
ether2: 192.168.0.3
ether3: 192.168.0.4
ether4: 192.168.0.5
ether5: 192.168.0.6

In Mikrotik I see that ether1,2,3,4,5 receive traffic but only ether 1 sent out all incoming traffic and other ethers outgoing is 0
I want each ether receive and send its own traffic.
How can I fix it?
Thanks

You have to have addresses from different subnet on each interface, if you want all of them to be on same Ethernet network you can use bridge to bridge them. Also, you can use /32 addresses. Also, you can use bonding to bond interfaces together.

so use /32 network addresses, do not set same gateway address (or it will leave through one interface again).
