IPv6 link-local address

Thu Jun 16, 2016 5:18 am

I'm trying to statically configure an IPv6 link-local address on the interface, but I get the following error:
failure: can not add link local address
Does anyone know if is it possible to manually configure a link-local address on a specific interface instead of using an EUI64 automatically generated address?

PS: Same problem of the following topic: http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=75639

I want to make all access router ports be fe80::1 but Mikrotik doesn't support manually specifying the link-local address.

I wonder if Mikrotik considers this a "wait for ROSv7" feature, or a "only a great fool would ask for this" feature...

I would suggest using unique local addresses vs link-local addresses at this point if you need to add a static address.  It would be the fd00::/8 range.
