Bandwidth management by IP address?

Thu Jan 09, 2014 10:54 am

Hi guys.

I have multiple servers using my Mikrotik as an internet gateway.
Does anyone know what I could use to do simple bandwidth management?
It basically needs to be able to record how much bandwidth was used for the IP within the month, and then at the end of the month it must archive that information and reset the counters.

I have found lots of information about using radius, however everything I have been able to find shows that radius is not going to help me in this scenario, but rather for PPPoE and hotspot.

Any information would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks.

I think dude http://www.mikrotik.com/thedude can help you with that, or ntop on a linux PC.

Thanks guys, will give it a go. I have tried ntop before but wasn't able to get it to give me monthly stats. As for the dude I will dig deeper with that as well.
