Clock keeps resetting

Sun Jul 20, 2008 10:09 am

I dont know what i am doing wrong here but i gave up on this and left it as is.

well now is the time when i need my rb333 clock to be correct.

so what i have done is this:

I goto System ->clock and set the time then hit apply/OK and when I reboot the router it resets back to JAN/01/1970

I am so sick of it doing this.

can someone shine a light on why this is happening?

At a guess, there's no separate clock chip on the board.

Use NTP to keep the time correct.

Kind regards

On my RB333, /system ntp client accepts only IP addresses. You will need to do a nslookup to get the IPs on those domain names.
Also, set the mode to unicast rather than broadcast.

I set my radius server as an NTP client and server, and all my MT boxes get NTP from it. That way all are synchronized to the server that controls access by time.

Newbie here

how did you setup radius server as an NTP client and server.

I just set my servers ip address, but the date and time just stays the same on MT board
