Very strange case (need help)

by mikman » Tue Mar 03, 2009 10:55 am

Hey Guys
am newbie for using mikrotik systems but, i have installed some units till now so i have some info.

a strange behaviour is happening with my mikrotilk Router Board 400 series.

i configured it to two private networks with each a queue 256/128 and made a all arrangements necessary to make it working.

the router works for 24-48 hours then it halts with no specific reason, no ping exists and i cant login to it via winbox. effective solution to make it work is only a hard restart by disconnecting/reconnecting power again. and for the record. my power supply is an APC UPS with smart voltage regulator.

is the power got caused this or is another reason in my configs.

Thanks in Advance

Check logs for anything unusual.

Upgrade to the latest version of RouterOS.
Disable/Remove any packages you do not need.

If it still happens then make a supout and send it to support as well as setup watchdog
