SSHv2 MikroTik to Cisco device

Sat Mar 14, 2009 2:30 pm

Hello, MikroTik Team!
Does RouterOS support SSHv2?
I can't acces cisco router with sshv2 enabled via routeros terminal:

Enabling compatibility mode for protocol 2.0
no hostkey alg

Welcome back!
Can you add this capability to routeros?

I confirmed this with ROS 3.18. The SSH client does not seem to support SSHv2. Only the SSHv1 client connects to my Cisco routers. I get the same error as enk when trying SSHv2.

command is "system ssh x.x.x.x user=admin"

I don't think the ssh client in routeros has been ssh2 for quite a while if ever.

Most of our linux servers installed in the past 5 years don't allow sshv1 by default. This means I have not been able to ssh from routeros to linux servers for the most part.

I have the same problem connecting to a cisco switch from microtik.

/system ssh 192.168.1.212
Enabling compatibility mode for protocol 2.0
no hostkey alg

How did you fixed the problem?

Regards
Tom
