I have a strange problem, using Hotspot for several years, without any problem. Now I changed DNS server in our organization (originally it was on W2000 Server, now it is on W2003 Server, both are on WAN network), from this time users going to the internet through Mikrotik hotspot has following problem:
When requesting some webpage for the first time (the same when query through nslookup), there is no answer, in Mikrotik DNS cache I can see a row
"www.requested_domain.com.our_domain.cz unknown 0.0.0.0"
When I request the same page first not through Hotspot, but some other computer in our network and after that user through Hotspot do the same, everything works and in Mikrotik DNS cache is correct record added:
"www.requested_domain.com A correct_IP_address"
I think the difference is, that in second case request is not passed to root DNS servers, because Microsoft DNS server cache is used. But which kind of restrictions this could be???????
