Ethernet Card Problem

Tue Aug 18, 2009 5:53 am

I can not get the Mikrotik Router OS Network to work

Question Description

I installed the Router OS software (V 3.2.7), and than ran "/setup" command to setup ip address and gateway.

ether0
IP: 192.168.0.250/255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.0.1

After the setup, I pinged the local IP address 192.168.0.250 and it's OK. But if I ping the gateway 192.168.0.1, it doesn't have any response.

-----------------------------------------------------
I checked the Ethernet Card, the light is on. And I used another PC to test the LAN cable and the gateway Host, they're OK.

-------------------------------------------------------
So I want someone can confirm:

1, Router OS 3.2.7 support Dlink 538TX or not?

2, do I need to install special driver software or a special operation to load the driver?

1.yes it is compatible.
2.It might be your firewall on that computer or antivirus which is preventing it to ping,no need to load special driver
