I need to make a routerboard driving a Telit GPRS Modem to connect internet by a Vodafone Italy SIM.

RB log, reports about each 2 minutes:

initializing modem...
diling out ...

without never reporting "connected"

The SIM is PIN unlocked.
A XP PC connects succesfully with the same modem and SIM.

I tryed to emulate a modem with my PC and my finger to check RB AT strings
RB initialize correctly the modem and APN web.omnitel.it
I also tried to digit CONNECT string. I saw binary mess sent by RB PPP Client.

It is clear that issue is about PPP handshake between Vodafone and RB
Which is the difference between RB PPP and XP DUN PPP?

I tried also to set up two RB and a null modem cable (PPP client - PPP server) and everything works.

Now I'm using a RB150 with ROS 3.28

N.B. Telit modem has a proprietary command to self reboot modem. this is useful in some environment because mobile operators sometimes cut off data device from the GSM cell. When the modem reboot it start a new cell link negotiation workarounding the problem.

I build up the same test bench with a 433AH. It works.

I've done RB150 configuration reset.

The problem is only related to this router board.
There is any hardware limitation about serial port managing?
