Couple hotspot errors

Tue Dec 01, 2009 6:26 pm

Hi there,

The following lines are the errors captured from our log:

23:12:13 dhcp, error Cable: failed to give out IP address: pool <Cable> is empty
23:12:18 dhcp, error Cable: failed to give out IP address: pool <Cable> is empty
23:12:27 dhcp, error Cable: failed to give out IP address: pool <Cable> is empty
23:12:44 dhcp, error Cable: failed to give out IP address: pool <Cable> is empty
23:12:58 hotspot, warning, debug XXXXXXX (192.168.101.44): RADIUS accounting request not sent: no response
23:14:09 dhcp, error Cable: failed to give out IP address: pool <Cable> is empty
23:14:14 dhcp, error Cable: failed to give out IP address: pool <Cable> is empty
23:14:21 dhcp, error Cable: failed to give out IP address: pool <Cable> is empty
23:14:36 dhcp, error Cable: failed to give out IP address: pool <Cable> is empty
23:20:12 hotspot, error, info, debug failed to get IP address for host 00:15:6D:XX:XX:XX/192.168.101.44: pool empty (6)
23:20:22 hotspot, error, info, debug failed to get IP address for host 00:15:6D:XX:XX:XX/192.168.101.46: pool empty (6)

I can not understand with pool empty messages where only 2 ip's leased among of 6 ip's in total in pool.
Also.. what the cause of error "RADIUS accounting request not sent: no response" ?

Paul,

1) address-pool is empty (DHCP pool or HotSpot pool),
use
/ip pool used> print

to check used addresses.

2) Make suer RADIUS server is reachable, as it seems it is not reachable.

Hi Sergejs,

Hotspot and Radius are in the same box using RB433.

I will check /ip pool used prin when an error appear again.

Just got the same error...

When I compare data on (A) /ip pool used prin with (B) /ip dhcp-server leased prin, seems datas on (A) more than (B). Plus, one of the mac address using multiple ip addresses.

Question, how to delete unused data on (A) other than reboot ?
the dhcp lease time already set to 15 minutes.
