Static IP traffic accounting

Tue Dec 01, 2009 6:35 pm

I looked over this forum for solution of ip accounting with static IP users but no complete solution.

We have about 1.000 users with static IP addresses (no pppoe, no pptp).
What is the best solution for ip accounting and billing ?

We used iptables for this but we want to move to full mikrotik routing.

For Basic traffic accounting you could use the IP Accounting / Snapshot feature.
http://www.mikrotik.com/testdocs/ros/2. ... unting.php
You can then download traffic stats via web as a CSV file.

If you want to do more you can use Netflow.
