The bset Configuration for WISP

Mon Dec 14, 2009 8:22 pm

Hello
I have about 300 clients and 5 access points on which this clients are connecting, also radius.

know here is my configuration
for access point i am using mikrotik
for clients ubiquiti loco5

on access points i have wpa-psk and also pppoe,
when clients connecting to ap they first authenticate using wpa-psk after that ap asks radius about pppoe authentication and if everithing ok client access internet.

I want to change this configuraion because ubiquitis needs to reboot very often,

I think to use EAP accounting,

Can anyone help me how to configure this, os can anyone suggest me what type of configuration is better to use.

Thank you

Seems redundant to have both PPPoE and WPA...

At any rate, are you setting the RTS in the Ubiquiti's?

With that many clients, if you are not using Nstream and you aren't using RTS that is your problem. Search around for Hidden Node

why dont you just use mac authentication at the AP level so that only Cpe's you have enabled the mac addresses will be able to connect to the AP's

No, Nstream is proprietary Mikrotik.

You need to enable RTS and Fragmentation under the Advanced tab in the Ubiquiti radios. Try 256 for RTS and 768 for Frag.

You have to implement this in ALL the client radios.
