Does the license tie up with HD number?

If my hard disk broken down, I had to pay for the license once more?

yes. you can try to write to support at mikrotik dot com, afair replacement license costs $15, but they can ask for a proof: for example, to send dead HD to MT =)

Are you joking? The costs of sending "corpse" will exceed it. Send the picture of the broken HD is reasonable in my view. I am going to use a second hand HD for my router,but now I maybe think it twice...

The replacement license is 10$, and you don't need to send the disk. The old license will be invalidated to avoid cheating.
