Failover link between Ethernet(fiber) and Wlan

Tue Dec 29, 2009 4:14 am

Hi.

This is my network.

Before i have just a Fiber link between my office. Now i buy two RB600A to do an automatic backup/failover link.

But, my problem is that i want to keep my network bridge(transparent), just have the network 10.0.0.0/24.

I want to keep the fiber link working always, and only use the wireless link if the fiber fails.

I read tutorials about bonding(mode active-backup), fail-over and other things.... but not found how to do what i want and keep just my 10.0.0./24 network, without routing, no need to specified "default gateway" and client computers.

Please help me. Thanks.

RSTP?
Ohhhhhh, RSTP looks really well, i'm read the article of wikipedia about RSTP, but can't find information about the mikrotik implementation of RSTP. I know that RSTP is configured in a Bridge....

Can RSTP bridge 3 Interfaces, and do failover and just two ports(Ether2 and Wlan1)?

Thanks.
