Hullow,
I know this has already been asked here (possibly several times) but It would be great if there was an actual mactelnet client for linux. Window's mactelnet.exe works on windows and (sometimes) under wine, but people with pure linux without X11, or running ARM platform are left unhappy.
(specifically if you look at the new cool netbooks that would be SO great as tiny mikrotik terminals, wouldnt they. yes I mean pandora.)
It would be really nice if mikrotik released specs for mactelnet or at least pointed me to some standard, I would happily code a simple gnu client that could cooperate with that. Reverse engineering the specs wouldn't probably be any hard, (I actually found one promising paper) but it's plain unnecessary if there are already complete specs.
Thanks for any reply,
-exa
EDIT: What about Winbox for linux? like QtBox or so. Things would be THIS MUCH easier.
