Limit session if more than 300Kilo Bytes!

Fri May 28, 2010 2:27 pm

Hello,

I was wondering if someone can help me to add a rule at the firewall using ROS V4.6 to limit sessions if the customer exceeded the 300Kilo BYtes surfing status!! because im seeing about 150 TCP item from a customer using torch tool and that was killing my bandwidth.

I meant I can give Unlimited session for people surfers and limited sessions for downloaders .. anyway IDM DOWNLOAD MANAGER is killing my bandwidth heaps.

Thank you

maybe use PCQ queues with rate=0 for equal bandwidth distribution between users?

chain=forward action=drop tcp-flags=syn protocol=tcp src-address=44.83.15.0/24 dst-port=3128 connection-limit=11,32
I did like that and it helped me decreasing TCP requests .. my problem is Total TCP Requests being sent to the SQUID Proxy.

I thought if i can add this option in Mikrotik "connection-bytes" or something like Limit 10 session if the user is downloading !

Thanks for your reply
