I work for a Spanish company that develops MPEG-2 & MPEG-4
code/decode/multiplex for professional video customers.
Recently we have developed an IP mux for UPD unicast/multicast video
streams.
Some of our customers are answering us to monitor video IP signals from
unicast sources.
We are thinking using a MiKrotik product to duplicate/multiplicate ip paths.
My questions are as follows:
1.- Using Mikrotik products can we multiplicate unicast UDP streams in order the same
stream flow arrives to different unicast addresses?.
The firewall must manage ICMP and ARP on the multiplicate unicast addresses
as a proxy.
2.- Using Mikrotik products can we translate unicast UDP streams in multicast UDP
streams?.The firewall must manage ICMP and ARP on the unicast address.
3.- Using Mikrotik products can we translate a multicasts UDP stream in a unicast UDP
streams (and according with point 1, in several unicast UDP streams)?. The
firewall must manage ICMP and ARP on the multiplicate unicast addresses as
a proxy.
Thanks
