why hotspot user can't establish any tcp connection ?

Sun Jun 20, 2010 1:40 pm

I have found a problem with hotspot..
I thought it's my labtop's problem at frist, and someday I found other users have the same problem.I have updated the ros to 4.9,but it still happen.
Today I use the sniffer to catch packets, and I found when this situation happen I can't establish any tcp connection and application like http, telnet did't work ,but udp and icmp is ok that I can ping and resolve domain..
If someone meet the same problem? Is there any solution?
Sorry for my poor English.... :(

PS: I use RB532...

By the way ,Is there any way to use script to telnet other device and execute command ?

No way to use a script on the mikrotik itself to telnet to things however the API might be able to?

As for the hotspot, you need to post more info about your configuration before we can tell you what might be the cause.
I'm running a number of (x86) Mikrotiks on v4.10 with hotspots with no current issues.

For starters, are you able to confirm that clients DO get a connection if you disable the hotspot?
