Traffic limiting of any IP in a specific subnet

Tue Aug 17, 2010 8:09 pm

Hello All,

I need anybody to help me with how I can control the connection rate from any device in a particular subnet not go beyond 200k/200k.

I have a subnet 10.0.0.0/19 and i want any single IP address from this subnet not to go beyond 200k/200k. I can't stand the stress of doing Queue simple configuration for individual ip addresses. Is there a SIMPLE and more resourceful way i can do it?

Hello fewi,

I found the documentation very useful. It met my requirement. fewi you are great guy!

Is there any way i could do a configuration that can terminate any connection that has reach a certain download in a single connection?
Assuming a connection is downloading continously and the volume of the download reaches 10Mb, i want to terminate it.

hope to hear from you soon.

http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:IP ... Properties

Look at the 'connection-bytes' classifier.

by the way, probably it will be better just to limit such connections to very little amount of bandwidth =)
