Question about NAT

Wed Sep 29, 2010 10:57 am

My question is it possible to assign public IP address to host that is part of extended LAN ?

My host (192.168.1.145) is located behind private interface 192.168.1.0/24 - ether2 on Mikrotik1.
M1's Ether2 is connected to Mikrotik2 ether 3 interface. M2's ether 1 interface is used to connect to Internet.

All traffic between two mikrotiks are already setup and working properly.

Is it possible to assign 192.168.1.145 address to public address and allow telnet access to specified host ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Yes. As long as everything involved has the proper routes that 'just works'.

Could anyone explain how to setup proper routes ?
What routes needs to be added to make it work?

Thanks in advance.
