Hotspot - bridged mode (transparent mode without NAT)

Sun Apr 24, 2011 8:39 pm

Hello everybody,

I need to implement a Captive-portal-login authentication for about 50 desktop computers connected to a existing company network (via Ethernet Switches)
The company has already a Zyxel gateway (192.168.10.1) and a Microsoft Windows server (AD Domain & DHCP) as the DNS for all computers.
The important thing is, the computers behind the Hotspot must be on the same IP segment and must use the same DHCP server.

I want to use the Mikrotik Hotspot functionality to do the authentication via by Captive-portal-login (http-pap).
But Mikrotik Hotspot as default has two interfaces with different IP segments and doing NAT between them!
Is it possible to setup the Mikrotik Hotspot as a transparent Hotspot, without having Mikrotik's own DHCP etc. (not as a gateway but transparent mode or bridged modebetween LAN and hotspot interfaces)?

I hope someone can answer me ASAP.

Thank you.
