Can't Connect To My PPTP Server (LCP Lowerdown)

Thu May 05, 2011 3:33 pm

Hi folk's! Please Help!

I have a RB750 With OS 4.16 working fine with a L2TP Server, but now I need to use a PPTP Server, so I made all the configuration like manual, but my client's (Ubuntu or Windows) can't connect. I checked with Mikrotik support here in Brazil and they said that my configurations is OK (see pictures attached please).

Any sugestions?

Thanks a lot!

What is the 3 digit error code you/your client gets when trying to connect? (619, 809 etc ...)

Usually L2TP gets through firewalls better as it is UDP. PPTP uses GRE packets. Older routers might not support GRE NAT at all, and some ISP's block GRE alltogether.
