I just want to emphasize on the importance of developing better CPE that is protected against foreign signals.
The old RIC CPE are still outstanding in that respect because they had a full metal backplate preventing radio getting signals from other source at the back of the unit. Its actually sad they don't come in a mimo version.
Now we have the SXT which is good in a low noise/interference environment. But it is all plastic housing.
The reality in wireless developments is that we will see more and more usage of the 5Ghz spectrum and thus more and more unwanted signals hitting the radio inside the housing.
Probably future radios will also become more sensitive and are thus even more vulnerable to this effect.
Off course the development of better selective radio's will be of help but cheaper and faster solution is to protect routerboard against foreign signals.
It would be nice if MT could develop an updated SXT that not only has higher gain (with better selectivity) but has either a metal housing or the inside of the housing coated with some form of shielding (sides and back).
Most simple form would be if manufacturer just paint coat the inside of the housing with such metal paint.
We as users can't do it since the housing will have to be broken up for that....
