reach ipv4 device via ipv6 router ?

Wed Aug 03, 2011 6:27 pm

Hi everybody,
Is it anyhow possible to reach a normal IPV4 device via a connected IPV6 router?

My windows have IPV6 address, I reach my Mikrotik router on its IPV6 address by ping e.g.
There is an IPV4 device connected to the other ethernet interface of the mentioned Mikrotik router.
Can I with some trick reach this IPV4 device, (without any IPV4 routing) via any kind of NAT, forwarding, proxy or anything?

Thank you

Via protocol translation (NAT64 or NAT-PT) or an IPv6 to IPv4 proxy.

However, RouterOS doesn't implement any of that, so you can't do any of that in RouterOS.

Thank you Fewi,

So I'll solve my basic problem another way.
And I hope Mikrotik going to support any of them soon.
