Cannot get DHCP server to work with vendor options.

Fri Aug 12, 2011 12:03 am

Hello,

Read all the posts related to the vendor specific issues, but in my situation it does not help at all. What i am tring to do is to make Amino stb be reachable behind the nat, so there are different Mikrotik dhcp servers giving to the amino the correct vendor paramteres also eliminating of use Linux box just for the DHCP. I am using dhcp forwardring as a temporary solution.

In linux it looks like:

option space AMINO;
option AMINO.address code 1 = ip-address;
option AMINO.homepage code 8 = text;
option AMINO.port code 2 = integer;

host MySTB {
option AMINO.homepage "http://192.168.155.2/start.php";
option AMINO.address 225.50.50.52;
option AMINO.port 11111
hardware ethernet 00:0C:42:85:33:25;
fixed-address 192.168.4.78;
}

So according to the discussions and different wikis in mikrotik i did:
dhcp.jpg
Tryed playing with different (high) code numbers but nothing.

Kind Regards

Aleksander
