82574L and multiqueue

Wed Oct 12, 2011 4:55 pm

we have an appliance with 82574L chipset that should support 4 queue.

But i see only one:
[admin@MikroTik] > /sys resource irq print without-paging
# IRQ USERS CPU ACTIVE-CPU COUNT
........
11 53 eth0-rx-0
12 54 eth0-tx-0
13 55 IServer

how can i use all the 4 queue?
should i see ????????
eth0-rx-0
eth0-tx-0
eth0-rx-1
eth0-tx-1
eth0-rx-2
eth0-tx-2
eth0-rx-3
eth0-tx-3

Regards
Ros

same problem on 82574L. Only 1 queue on RX and 1 queue on TX per ethernet.

Mainboard from supermicro X9SCi-LN4F. MKv5.11, same on v5.9. Clear instalation.

a solution?

You can't - driver decides how to divide traffic into queues - as we all know MikroTik maintains drivers only for RouterBoards.

So we need to wait for next Kernel/Driver update (most probably RouterOS v6) and hope that Intel had submitted drivers that know how to devide traffic to the queues.

The i82575 it works. 4TX, 4RX.

Why not at i82574? only 1TX, 1RX.

Again, poorly paid work as well as not using MSI-X. How do we build powerful machines on x86 with Mikrotik?

different drivers, and drivers are made and maintained by Intel. we take no part in this.
