what distribution you are using and did you compile kernel with drivers yourself? If you are basic user, best option would be to choose simple Linux distribution that require little or no user intervention in critical parts of OS, such as kernel and drivers.

Is this normal or...?
I'm using Ubuntu server 11.04. Kernel: 2.6.38-11-server.
No I didn't compile kernel with drivers.
Janisk, what distribution do you recomend for me to use? I thought that Ubuntu is best way to go...
