mpls.dll problem on Mikrotik SXT. Please Help

Thu Oct 27, 2011 4:43 pm

I have this issue while I try to log on remotely on Mikrotik SXT...

Image

I can login, but I can't see the options in it. When I do login on telnet I have some problems too its too slow. As you can see I am running on 4.14 version of Mikrotik.

Should I upgrade the routeros? If I upgrade it, will the upgrade erase my config? I think no, but I want to make sure cause this is a link thats quite far away so I need to work it remotely...

It will not erase config. All you need to do, is upload v5.7 NPK package to the router with FTP. Then reboot

Okay, I uploaded the npk package but I cannot reboot

I cannot reboot cause the SXT is so slow and when I type it doesn't get the code. So... can a POWER on/off make the task, right? Or is there some other remote way to do it so... :/. I guess not

something is wrong with the device, if it's giving you errors and performs too slow. try Netinstall to completely reset it

Normis, thank you very much for replies. Somehow when I logged to the device I was able to press System->reboot (the buttons) and at first it didn't reboot, but after few retries it did. Now I have 5.7 RouterOs, the link is UP.

Thanks. I will have in mind the Netinstall for future problems like this!
