RB450G with upgrade to 5.11

Tue Jan 17, 2012 10:57 pm

I have updated 2 450Gs to 5.11, everything has worked fine except queues.

I have searched everywhere and cant figure out how to change the Default queue type only-hardware-queue.

I can use any of these as the Tx/Rx queue types in a simple queue and it still wont work.

Has anyone else experienced this or suggestions on how to fix it?

on all my RB's, to change the queue type, just double click on the interface, and then pick the one in the drop down.

edit:
Just reread, its the default, I don't think you can change what it defaults to, only what its set to

Yes, but Default Queue type is not there. It remains only-hardware-queue and the queues don't. I have only had this problem on the 450G's. It only shows interface and queue type, and does not show default queue type.

your screenshots look like mine on any of my routers. I'm not seeing what you are talking about. it shows default listed there, the only-hardware-queue should show none

Look at your interface queues tab. Does it show Interfaces and Queue types or does it show Interfaces Queue Types and Default Queue Types. Because I cannot alter the default queue types and my queues do not work.

Because this is what my other ones look like

This is what the 450G looks like:

Look at these. They changed what shows up in 5.11. Both are captures of an RB450G board (2 different ones) you can see what version of RoS I'm running

I fixed the problem. It was because my rb firmware wasnt updated. All I did was update the firmware and actually changed all the Queue Types to Ethernet-default and they started working. I had already tried changing the queue types on the interfaces. That's why I was confused. I appreciate the consultation. :P
