Mikrotik config rule accessing url

Sat Feb 11, 2012 12:02 am

Hi. I am quite new to mikrotik and i have a network preconfigured from another guy before me with a mikrotik router 2.9.6.In the network i have a vpn device which connects me with a specific url http://www.domain.com. This domain cannot be accessed outside network in the usual internet network without this vpn device. Now i want to open this url from outside of my network (place nr.2)through opening a rule in the firewall: action=drop, chain=forward, src address=!X.X.X.X, in interface=ether1, dst address=Y.Y.Y.Y - where x.x.x.x is the real IP of the place nr.2 where i want to access the url; y.y.y.y is the real ip of the url-server itself. under the main url that i want to access there are some secured links too(https://www.domain/pages.com). with the rule that i have configured i can access easily reach the pages that are not secured but whenever i click to the links that will take me to a secured page it says that the "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" - can you give me a hand on this matter to solve and see correctly even the secured pages from place nr.2? Thanks a lot!

try to use your local mikrotik proxy to access. or find & edit the rule in ip/firewall which is blocking access to that website & allowing only vpn ip to access.
