Bonding on 2 wireless links

Sun May 13, 2012 12:11 am

I´ve tried to set up a bonding on 2 Wireless link.
ether1 - RB433AH - ether2 - sextant < - - - - - > sextant - ether3 - RB433AH - ether1 local network
                             - ether3 - sextant < - - - - - > sextant - ether2 -
RB433AH with ROS 5.11

speed between sextants is ~45Mb/s TCP/iperf (TCP speed is between interfaces on 433ahs)
bonding rr was on ether2 and ether3 on both sides.

ether 1 to bonding1 is ospf routed not bridged.

when i try bandwidth test between RB433ahs it says 75-80Mb/s TCP, but when i try iperf it is only about 10-15Mb/s (cpu usage at 15% max)

I´ve also tried bonding xor, and that worked as full duplex 40Mb/s (same can be achieved by different costs in ospf settings)

What is wrong? Is it possible to have real 80Mb/s throughput in this set up?

hallo smilies,,,,i have was try bonding 2 wireless link same with you, but from ether 1 to bonding i used bridge, when i test between RB433GL i get troughput 12Mb/s....tell me please OSPF routed from ether 1 to bonding 1 without bridged...thanks :D :D
