Port mirroring on master port

Sun May 20, 2012 11:18 pm

Hello. I have a RB-750GL and I was expecting that if I mirrored a master port I would get also the traffic from the slaves, which doesn't seem to be the case. Is it possible to mirror all the switched ports to one port?? I know that bandwidth would be saturated but I don't mind about some packet loss. Besides this is a home network and I don't have a lot of traffic.

You cannot mirror all switch group traffic by mirroring the master-port. You can add switch rule and set any port as mirroring-source: http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Switch_Ch ... Rule_Table

Does that mean add a switching rule with all the ports that I am interested, then check in action tab "mirror", then go to switch tab and then choose a mirror target on switch1??
