graphing system volts

Mon Jul 30, 2012 2:19 am

hello friendly helpful mikrotic forum

i have a couple of Groove which i got because they can remotely display the system volts which for those of us with solar powered remote repeaters is a fantastic feature

however i would realy like to be able to graph system volts which would give me considerably more insight into battery condition than just random snapshots while connected

anyone know how to do this

alternativily can someone point me at a absolute beginners guide to making and running scripts

Thanks

graphing system volts

We use third party to software to monitor via SNMP - try PRTG.

Chech reported voltage against actual battery voltage - it appears no two router boards will give the same result - we check them against a voltmeter and then add a correction factor

thanks for that both of you

yes I also have checked volts reported against battery volts and apply correction possibly this variation may be the impact of cable losses and battery protector

I am still working on a script solution but stuck on how do i get the value of /system/health/print into a variable in my script

yes im sure it obvious from the wiki/manual but i still cant see it :-)
