the LOS is almost clear(google maps shows this) although i can't guarantee
i have 22Mtrs tower at one end and 17Mtrs at other end

i am currently using

If you had radio LOS between both sites, and correctly lined up aerials, you should achieve around 27M half duplex using 802.11a and nstreme.

For OFDM transmissions such as 802.11a, radio LOS will need to be at least 0.6 of your first fresnel zone to get good throughput

I have a link with RB 5HnD SEXTANT is 12.45 Km to signal an both ends of 75dBm and a theoretical speed of 23Mbits. Nstreme use.
I think this is the limit of stable operation.

Cannot pick signal

Fri Sep 21, 2012 11:15 am

i am failing to pick the signal on a hotspot i am setting up.I could pick the signal from the main access point unit before which is about 1km away. The unit was working for about 2years and now it just stopped, both wireless cards are working but if i scan i cannot pick anything yet the main unit is working.
